“I am afraid George R. is going to die”

American artist (1861–1909) best known for his paintings and sculptures of the American West, and for his depictions of cowboy life in particular. ALS, one page, 4.75 x 6.25, personal 301 Webster Avenue letterhead, March 2. Remington writes to Herbert. In part: “I am afraid George R. is going to die and I may need your help…. Give me the address of the place & persons when Josie Creighton is confined. I must look up her care &c. I have paid my part to George in the past….” Mild soiling, a few wrinkles, and small spot of skinning to one word in text, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
