Seventeenth-century shipping in the New World

Manuscript DS, one page, 7.75 x 12, February 8, 1646. A document issued by the Committee of Lords and Commons for the Admiralty to the Commissioners of the Navy advising that a frigate under the command of Captain Biddall in the port of Portsmouth is to be fitted with supplies and provisions. The document is signed by [the Earl of] Warwick, Alex. Bence, John Roller, and two others. In good condition, with tears, chips and small losses to edges (slightly touching a few words), scattered toning, foxing, and soiling, and partial separations along folds. R&R COA.
