Description

MAN OF A THOUSAND INVENTIONS: Outstanding large photo signed by THOMAS EDISON

Striking oversized 10 x 13 Falk photo affixed to a 10.75 x 14.75 linen-finish card mount, copyright 1904, a characterful half-length image of the middle-aged Edison with his hands in his pockets, signed and inscribed in ink on the mount, “To my friend Dolbeer, Thomas A. Edison.” Frank K. Dolbeer was head of sales for Edison’s phonograph division and credit manager for all divisions, and later went to work for the Victor Talking Machine Company. Matted and framed to an overall size of 17.5 x 21.75. A hint of faint soiling and a few small spots to mount, and a subtle hint of feathering to ink, otherwise fine condition. A superb, visually commanding example! Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
