Signed in ballpoint on the half-title page “Best wishes, Martin Luther King, Jr.,” and on the front free end page, “Jackie Robinson” and [NAACP head] “Roy Wilkins.” In very good condition, with previous owners’ ink notations to Robinson page (including “9-8-63, inscribed at the home of Jackie Robinson,” and a spurious King signature), bookplate to each pastedown (rear pastedown with additional notation), mild scattered soiling, and rubbing and light edge wear to price-clipped jacket.
