Christmas card, 9.75 x 6 folded, embossed in gold on the outside with “213 Squadron R. A. F. Flanders.” Inside bears a color image of a downed German biplane and a smiling British pilot. Printed opposite the photograph is the sentiment “He’s crashed for good, so here’s for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 1918-1919.” Signed on the back in fountain pen by eighteen British pilots, including A. G. Taylor, M. N. Hancock, and J. P. Stewart-Burton, with all pilots adding their rank and flight group. In fine condition, with some slight contrast to some signatures. A great piece of World War I militaria. R&R COA.
