Description

TLS signed “W. G. Harding,” one page, 8 x 10.25, Harding Publishing Company letterhead, January 13, 1915. Harding writes to J. G. Butler in Youngstown. In part: “I was called to Denver the first of the new year and only returned in time for the inauguration at Columbus last Monday. I should be very happy, indeed, to lunch with you and Mr. Campbell in New York on the 16th, but I am not to have the pleasure of being there on that occasion … owing to the fact that I am leaving this week for a trip to the Pacific coast and the Hawaiian islands….” Matted and framed with a portrait and engraved plaque to an overall size of 28.25 x 25. Intersecting mailing folds (vertical fold to first letter; possible short edge separations) and a touch of mild soiling, wrinkling, and handling wear, otherwise fine condition.
