ALS in French, signed “Alph. de Lamartine,” one page both sides, 5 x 8, June 29, 1865. Lamartine writes to Monsieur D—, sending friendly greetings, mentioning that he is staying in a small village three hours from Mâcon, and hoping to arrange a lunch date. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope addressed in Lamartine’s hand. Mild handling wear, otherwise fine, clean condition. R&R COA.
