TLS, one page, 6 x 7, personal letterhead, December 6, 1954. Roosevelt writes to Langdon Marvin in Washington, D.C. In part: “I am delighted to hear your news and I want to congratulate you and send my best wishes to both of you. I would love it if you could come to Hyde Park on Saturday…. If you can’t do that, would you lunch with me here or at the UN on the 30th?…” Marvin, FDR’s godson, later served as a political “advance man” for JFK. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Marginal file holes, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
