Flown die-cut cardstock American flag measuring approximately 1″ x 1″, housed in its original laminated 3.25 x 5.25 pictorial presentation with the legend “Flown on First Manned Lunar Landing, July 16–24, 1969, Buzz Aldrin, Neil Armstrong, Mike Collins, Apollo 11.” The reverse bears a handwritten note signed by NASA Simulations Program Manager Riley David McCafferty, dated October 3, 1969: “Howard: I truly appreciate all the personal effort you put into your job and your response to my special requests.
