Burr takes an associate to task

Revolutionary War soldier, lawyer, senator, and vice president under Jefferson (1756–1836), probably best known for mortally wounding Alexander Hamilton in a duel on July 11, 1804. ALS, one page, 7.5 x 9.25, June 5, 1784. Letter to Thomas Wooster of New Haven. In full, “I have your letter of the 5th ult. I think it quite necessary you should be here as soon as you can finish your business with the Assembly. You will otherwise be unavoidably put to Cot & Inconvenience. Mr. Tr. John has made a visit to N. Haven but unfortunately you & many others were absent.” Second integral page bears an address panel to Wooster in Burr’s hand. Letter is affixed by the left edge of second integral page to a slightly larger sheet. Some scattered light foxing and soiling, and light intersecting folds, one through a single letter of last name, otherwise fine condition. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
