ALS signed “Sam. F. B. Morse,” one page trimmed in size to 3.75 x 5, November 25, 1853. Morse writes to an unnamed, evidently young recipient. In full: “So small a favor as my autograph cannot be denied, and I therefore comply with your request, trusting that your life so recently commenced may be devoted to the cause of Him who preserves it, and to Him who died to save you….” Matted and framed with a biographical plaque and portrait engraving to an overall size of 20.25 x 19.25. Trimming as noted and mild handling wear, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
