Description

Storied, charismatic, and controversial American labor leader (1913–1975?) who attained his greatest notoriety when he vanished on July 30, 1975. The truth behind his presumed demise and the whereabouts of his remains take a place among the most durable mysteries in modern American history. Program from a 1965 dinner given in honor of Hoffa’s 35 years in the Teamster movement, 8.5 x 11, signed on the cover in ballpoint “James. R. Hoffa.” The cover has been also been signed by several other labor figures and family members, including Jo Hoffa and Barbara Hoffa Crancer; the back cover has been similarly signed by approximately 22, including notorious crime boss and Genovese family capo Anthony “Tony Pro” Provenzano (1917–1988), a longtime associate of Hoffa who was the vice president of the Teamsters Local 560 in Union City, New Jersey. Light soiling and handling wear, a few small stains, and two other signatures sightly overlapping Hoffa’s, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
