Academy Award–winning actor (1899–1957) best remembered for his performances in Casablanca, The Maltese Falcon, and Treasure of the Sierra Madre, among other classic films. Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 Paramount/Bud Fraker publicity photo of Bogart as he appeared in the role of Linus Larrabee in Sabrina, signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint, “For Beulah, Good luck, Humphrey Bogart.” Bogart joined the Sabrina cast as a last-minute replacement for Cary Grant. It was reported that Bogart and costar William Holden couldn’t stand each other, and Bogart also disapproved of Audrey Hepburn—he wanted wife Lauren Bacall in the title role. Asked once how he liked working with Hepburn, Bogart replied: “It’s ok, if you don’t mind to make 20 takes.” In fine condition, with an unobtrusive pinhole near top border. A beautifully signed example in an appealing state of preservation! PSA/DNA Auction LOA and R&R COA.
