Rare presidential paycheck issued by the Treasurer of the United States, 8.5 x 3.25, filled out in type and signed by Assistant Treasurer of the United States, Marion Barister, payable to “Franklin D. Roosevelt, President of the United States,” for $5312.50, dated February 28, 1934. Roosevelt has endorsed in fountain pen on the reverse, “For Deposit, Franklin D. Roosevelt.” Folds, punch cancellations and bank stamps (the latter to first name and middle initial), light soiling and wrinkling, and a few small tears, otherwise very good condition.
