Description

Platinum pigskin: HARLOW and POWELL sign at the 1937 Rose Bowl

Legendary screen actress (1911–1937), known for her unique sex appeal and her distinctive platinum blonde hairdo, who died of renal failure at the age of 26. Original program from the 1937 Rose Bowl Game, featuring the Panthers vs. the Huskies, 7.75 x 10.75, signed in pencil on the lineup centerfold “Jean Harlow,” and also signed by her then-fiancé, William Powell, in what was likely one of their last joint appearances in public. Harlow died just months later, on June 7. In fine condition, with mild wear and faint stains to covers (mainly to back cover; small chip at bottom edge) and a very faint vertical bend. An attractive and unusual combination from this legendary rarity! PSA/DNA Auction LOA and R&R COA.
