Soviet general (1896–1974) who led the defeat of the Germans at Stalingrad and the entry into Berlin during World War II. DS, in Russian, three pages on two adjoining sheets, 7.75 x 11.5, 1945. An “attestation” of the Colonel Ivan Ivanovich Gusev, head of the Trophy Department of the 5th Shock Army and a close associate of Zhukov’s in plundering German national treasures, signed in indelible blue pencil. The document is countersigned by several other officials. A few marginal pinholes and light toning, soiling, and handling wear, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
