French engineer and aviator (1872–1936) who made the first crossing of a large body of water in a heavier-than-air craft when he flew across the English Channel in 1909. Ink signature, “L. Bleriot,” on a light green 5.5 x 3.5 postcard, dated 1910, with several clipped photos affixed to card, as well as written text under photos.
