Description

American writer (1902–1967), one of the key figures of the Harlem Renaissance, best known for such works as Weary Blues and The Ways of White Folks. ALS, one page, 5.5 x 8.5, personal letterhead, June 6, 1962. Hughes writes to Bernard Baker. In full: “Travelling about so much the last few years—Africa twice and every-which-a-where, I don’t believe I ever sent you the autograph and photo you requested. Here it is—gladly….” Vertical fold (touching first name), otherwise fine, clean condition. R&R COA.
