Bank check, 6.75 x 2.25, filled out and signed by Adams, payable to himself [J. Q. Adams] for $100.00, November 24, 1847. Adams died three months later, on February 23, 1848. In very good to fine condition, with clean cut cancellation to last name of recipient signature, a few creases and wrinkles, and a touch of mild soiling. Both signatures are clear and dark.
