American businessman and manufacturer (1831–1901) who was one of several brothers who founded the Studebaker Corporation, one of the early giants of the automotive industry. Bank check, 8.5 x 3.5, filled out in another hand and signed by Studebaker, “C. W. Studebaker,” payable to First National Bank for $800.00, stamp dated October 9, 1907. In fine condition, with two pencil notations, light bank stamp over signature, and a vertical signature lightly touching the top of Studebaker’s signature. R&R COA.
