In part: “I’d certainly have no reason to object to a ‘Robert Bloch Fan Club’ per se, but must warn you that in my opinion you’d be hard-put to find any members…. I’ve never developed a ‘typical’ story-form and a following for it…. Just finished a two-hour teleplay which will not be produced, because of the current reaction against TV violence. My fantasy is not violent at all, but anything hinting of witchcraft, etc. is enough to frighten censors who don’t seem to balk at so-called ‘realistic’ violence. A new story, ‘The Double Whammy,’ should soon appear in Fantastic.
