Signing for an American admirer months before his country attacked Pearl Harbor

Japanese naval officer and diplomat (1877–1964) who was the Ambassador to the U.S. at the time of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Vintage ink signature, “K. Nomura,” adding his name in Japanese characters, on a 5.25 x 8.5 sheet of Japanese Embassy, Washington D.C. letterhead. Accompanied by a secretarial letter of transmittal dated February 21, 1941. Paperclip stain to top edge and faint intersecting folds, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
