In part: “I appreciate your writing me concerning an invitation from John Schofield for me to speak at the State Convention of the Knights of Columbus in Miami, Oklahoma in April, 1958. If you are writing Mr. Schofield you might tell him that I am going to spend most of my time this coming year in speaking in Massachusetts and therefore it will be impossible for me to accept his very kind invitation. I was also glad to hear about the trip which Dr. Dorman and his family are making to the Middle East. It should prove to be very interesting…. I am sorry that I missed seeing you when you were in Washington around the 4th of July….” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
