Manuscript DS, in Spanish, signed “Yo el Rey (I the King) and Yo el Reyna (I the Queen),” one page, 8.5 x 5.75, July 22, 1493. The King and Queen authorize Juan de Ribera to act as their agent. In full, “We beseech Dan Juan de Ribera our Captain General in the frontier of Navarra and of our Council that he may speak to you of our transaction which we place at your disposal and we request that you fully vouch for and guarantee to the effect that such deed be executed.” In fine condition, with previous storage folds touching a couple letters of signature, some light ink offsetting, and some scattered faint foxing.
