Description

Along with Maurice Wilkins, James D. Watson (born 1928) and Francis Crick (1916–2004) shared the 1962 Nobel Prize in Medicine for discovering the function and structure of DNA, providing the prime impetus for further research in the emerging fields of molecular genetics and biochemistry. FDC, 6.5 x 3.5, with a cachet honoring the United Nations World Population Year 1974, signed in ballpoint “James D. Watson” and in black ink “Francis Crick” and “M. H. F. Wilkins.” The very slightest brush to Crick’s “F”, otherwise very fine condition. The combination of all three members of the famous “DNA trio” on a single item is quite uncommon. R&R COA.
