“TODAY THE CHOICE ... IS EITHER NONVIOLENCE OR NONEXISTENCE”: KING signs his epochal memoir of the Montgomery bus boycott

Signed book: Stride Toward Freedom. First edition, first printing (with “First Edition” and “H-H” on the copyright page). NY: Harper & Brothers, 1958. Hardcover with dustjacket, 6 x 8.25, 230 pages. Boldly signed in ballpoint on the front free end page, “Best wishes, Martin Luther King, Jr.” Light rubbing and edge wear to jacket (slight fading to spine portion), staining to insides of covers (confined to about .5″ of top edge), the very subtlest stain to right edge of signed page (all but invisible and well away from writing), and marginal creases to a few pages, otherwise fine, tight condition. A most attractive signed example of this civil rights classic! COA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
