Description

Popular silent-era screen comedian (1869–1940) whose most distinctive feature was his crossed eyes, which were reportedly insured against uncrossing by Lloyd’s of London. Bank check, 8.5 x 3.25, filled out in type and signed by Turpin, payable to Geo. S. Slicton for $10.00, November 12, 1921. In very good condition, with two vertical folds, one through first name of signature, expected stamps and holes, one at end of signature, and some light bleeding to signature. R&R COA.
