Description

American writer (1902–1967), one of the key figures of the Harlem Renaissance, best known for such works as Weary Blues and The Ways of White Folks. ALS, one page, 5.25 x 8.5, personal letterhead, December 14, 1960. Hughes writes to Mr. Baker. In part: “I am delighted to enclose for you, as requested, my autograph, and to send you under separate cover a photo….” Vertical fold (touching first name), otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
