Description

Popular soul and R&B singer-songwriter (1939–1984) who was one of Motown’s most successful artists during that label’s heyday in the 1960s and 1970s, recording such hits as “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)” and “I Heard It Through the Grapevine.” A day before his 45th birthday, Gaye was shot and killed by his own father during an argument over a business matter. DS, signed “Marvin P. Gaye, Jr.,” one page, 8 x 11.25, no date. Ninth and final page of a longer rider between Gaye and W. G. Enterprises, boldly signed at the conclusion in black felt tip by Gaye. Double matted and framed to an overall size of 30 x 18.5. In very fine condition. COA Roger Epperson/REAL and R&R COA. Oversized.
