Color glossy 23 x 18.5 photo of a young Ted Williams shaking hands with Babe Ruth at Fenway Park prior to a game, signed in blue felt tip by Williams. The original photo was taken in July of 1943 and it was the first time Ruth and Williams met. The actual game that day was a special charity game- where the (Military) Service All-Stars (lead by Ted Williams, and coached by Ruth) took on the Boston Braves. Williams lead the team to victory with a late-inning home run. Prior to the Game, Williams and Ruth had a competition to see who could hit the most home runs. Williams hit 3, and the Babe hit a towering fly ball that just barely missed the stands. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Ted Williams Family Enterprises. Double matted and framed to an overall size of 28.25 x 25. In very fine condition. Auction LOA Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and R&R COA. Oversized.
