In full: “It was exceedingly thoughtful of you to send me such a gracious message. I want to thank you for your kind wishes which I assure you I reciprocate….” The 1920 election, in which Warren G. Harding and Coolidge were selected as president and vice president, took place two days earlier, on November 2.
