President Madison grants a tract of land to David Ridgeway “in the Territory north west of the Ohio, and above the mouth of the Kentucky River.” Signed at the conclusion in ink by Madison, and countersigned by the Commissioner of the General Land Office. In good condition, with moderate intersecting storage folds, several creases, several small areas of paper loss along folds, mild staining to lower portion of document, Madison’s signature a shade or two light, but completely legible, and mounting remnants to reverse.
