American financier and public official who served as U.S. Secretary of the Treasury (1921–1932) and endowed the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Partly printed DS, signed “A. W. Mellon, Pt.,” one page both sides, 8.5 x 14, July 10, 1886. An agreement wherein the Central Connellsville Coke Company agrees to the construction on its property of a railroad line by the Southwest Pennsylvania Railway Company.
