In full: “Mrs. Cleveland is as good a democrat as her husband and with him claims to success and the usefulness of the Young Men’s Democratic Club of Dayton. She however shrinks from interfering in political affairs to the extent that would be indicated by any communications. She might write to you, and is confident that upon a little reflection you will forego your requests….” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope addressed in Cleveland’s hand and an original composite cabinet photo of Cleveland and his wife.
