Perkins was Cash’s guitarist who played with Cash at the Folsom Prison shows, which turned out to be one of his last recordings ever. He died tragically shortly thereafter in a house fire after falling asleep on the couch with a lit cigarette. Vintage ballpoint signatures, “Johnny Cash,” and “Luther Perkins,” on individual off-white lined slips, both affixed to a 4.5 x 5.5 card. Accompanied by two color candid snapshots from the mid-1950s of Cash and Perkins. In fine condition, with some light soiling (mostly to Cash’s signature), and show-through from adhesive on reverse of both. R&R COA.
