In part: “I am just recovering from the prostration left by a severe attack of influenza and attempting to answer a few of my heavy accumulation of letters I can only send you my kindest wishes with my regrets that I cannot do more to please you in the shape of a formal letter.” The very subtlest shade of toning to lowest 1″ of letter, otherwise fine condition.
