Description

“It was my two brothers, Curly & Shemp, that had passed away within three years of each other.”

ALS signed “Moe,” one page both sides, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, no date. Letter written to his friend and admirer Linda. A long, chatty letter on many different subjects. In part, “This Mrs. Dix had a confusion of names when she stated that she heard that Larry had died. It was my two brothers, Curly & Shemp, that had passed away within three years of each other. Curly in 1952, altho [sic] he had been ill for 6 years and Shemp in 1955…I can’t tell at this time if we will be making any TV appearances as we are preparing a new script for a new feature film. Yes it is cheaper to rerun certain TV specials…Expect to leave for a few weeks to a quiet spot where there is no TV or radio so we can get on with a motion picture script,” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope addressed in Howard’s hand. In fine condition. PSA/DNA Auction LOA and R&R COA.
