Physicians Charles H. Mayo (1865–1939) and William J. Mayo (1861–1939) worked together in the family’s medical practice, which eventually evolved into the famed Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Vintage matte-finish 13.75 x 10.75 composite photo, inscribed in ink (by Charles) “With kind regards to Surgeon General P. S. Rossiter” and signed “C. H. Mayo” and “W. J. Mayo.” Percival S. Rossiter served as Surgeon General of the Navy from 1933 to 1938. A few small, faint creases, a hint of mild rippling to lower margin, and light spreading of ink to “Rossiter,” otherwise fine condition. Quite unusual in this format! R&R COA.
