Description

Scottish-born scientist and inventor (1847–1922) who conceived the telephone, founded the Bell Telephone Company, and invented various devices for aiding the deaf. LS, one page, 5 x 8, personal letterhead, April 26, 1888. Letter to a collector seeking an autograph. In full, “In response to your courteous request of the 23rd inst. for my autograph I take pleasure in complying and subscribe myself yours truly.” Boldly signed at the conclusion in black ink by Bell. In fine condition, with a few light creases and a few areas of ink mirroring due to premature folding. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
