Description

ALS, three pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.25 x 6.5, no date. Disraeli writes from Cassel, France to W. S. Bradley. In part: “Several letters from you have reached me at this place. I have no intention to sell my shares in the Duffyn Company. With regard to the mortgage I hold, I have no objection to meet the views of the directors, & allow it to be converted into shares in the Glamorgan Company; taking it, of course for granted that I shall also be placed in the new company in a proportionate position….” Matted and framed (so that all pages are visible) with an antique engraving to an overall size of 13.5 x 10.75. The reverse of the frame bears the label of the famed Goodspeed Book Shop in Boston. Intersecting folds (touching first letter of last name) and a touch of subtle wrinkling and toning, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
