Buzz Aldrin’s personally-owned and hand-notated script from the HBO miniseries From The Earth to the Moon, Hour 7: Mare Tranquilitatis, sixty-three pages, dated January 22, 1997. Signed on the front cover in blue ballpoint, “My personal copy of the Apollo XI episode script, Buzz Aldrin, Apollo XI.” Aldrin makes small notations, comments, and revisions on several pages of the script, including an interesting comment on the dialogue between the Apollo 11 crew about whom gets to be first on the moon. Collins makes a suggestion that Neil and Buzz arm-wrestle for it, in which Aldrin writes, “Must you have Mike imply a choice? Well, it’s a hot potato - and we need a decision.” Accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity from Aldrin, indicating this script was in his personal collection. In fine condition.
