Historic vintage 9 x 6.5 photo on its original 12.25 x 9.25 mount, depicting Lindbergh and American ambassador Myron Herrick on the balcony of the city hall in Paris shortly after Lindbergh’s triumphant arrival in May 1927, boldly signed in fountain pen on the image “Charles A. Lindbergh.” The mount is signed in pencil by the photographer, Henri Manuel; the image also bears his blindstamp at lower left. Accompanied by an unsigned vintage 11 x 9 photo of Lindbergh at the Amercian Embassy among Herrick and other dignitaries, signed in ink by the photographer, Paul Mejat. A few tiny surface marks to signed photo, and slight trimming, soiling, collector’s notation, and a few faint creases to mount, and a touch of mild soiling and handling wear to unsigned photo, otherwise fine condition.
