Description

Color Apollo 14 patch screenprinted on a piece of beta cloth, signed in blue felt tip “Edgar Mitchell.” Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Mitchell, stating in part that “This beta cloth crew patch flew to the moon aboard the command module Kittyhawk on the Apollo 14 mission January 31–February 9, 1971…. It is identical to the patches sewn on the crew’s suits. This patch was vacuum packed and stowed aboard Kittyhawk as part of the Lunar Module Pilot’s CM Personal Preference Kit….” Handsomely matted and framed with an engraved plaque to an overall size of 13.25 x 15.75.
