American screenwriter (died 1943) who penned the script for the 1932 cult classic Freaks and who was one of three credited screewriters for The Wizard of Oz. DS, fourteen pages, 8.5 x 13, March 3, 1931. An agreement wherein MGM engages Woolf’s exclusive services as writer and director for one year at the rate of $850 per week. Woolf has signed in full at the conclusion, along with famed production mogul Irving Thalberg, and has initialed one passage on a previous page. The document is housed in its original paper folder.
