Rare and original inscribed ballpoint sketch of the Scarecrow, signed and inscribed, “To Mike, I hope you find your Brain! Just follow the Yellow Brick Road. Ray Bolger, The Scarecrow of Oz,” on an off-white 7.25 x 9 sheet of TWA in-flight stationery. Consignor notes that Bolger drew this for Mike Mina, who was a 1st class steward for TWA and was obtained in 1979, while Bolger was on a flight from Los Angeles to New York. In very fine condition, with two light horizontal folds. While Bolger Scarecrow photographs are quite plentiful, we have only seen a couple original sketches, making this a premium and desirable Oz item for the discerning collector. R&R COA.
