Description

Getting around during the Sgt. Pepper sessions

DS, signed “R. Starkey,” one page, 7 x 8, March 10, 1967. An invoice from Artist’s Car Service in London detailing three car trips between March 1 and March 9, totaling £18.5.3. A printed slip from the same company is stapled to the front. The Beatles were then in the midst of recording their most iconic album, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band; the famous cover photo for that album was shot three weeks later, on March 30, and the final recording session took place on April 1. Ink “paid” stamp touching “key” of signature (not affecting legibility in the least) and tiny tears at one file hole, otherwise fine, clean condition. COA Roger Epperson/REAL and R&R COA.
