Nicknamed ‘The Georgia Peach,’ he was an American baseball player considered to be the greatest player of the ‘Deadball Era’ (1900-1920), and perhaps of all time. Vintage 3.75 x 6 newspaper photo of Cobb tending to one of his orange trees on his farm in Atherton, nicely signed in fountain pen, “Ty Cobb.” Double matted and framed to an overall size of 12.25 x 14.25. A PSA/DNA authentication label is affixed to reverse of frame. In fine condition, with a small tear and spot of paper loss to left edge, and light uniform overall toning, expected from a vintage newspaper. Auction LOA Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
