Description

Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Connecticut (1731–1796) and seventh President of the Continental Congress. DS, signed “Saml. Huntington,” one page both sides, 7 x 5.25, State of Connecticut letterhead, November 3, 1794. Connecticut pay note issued to Huntington for five pounds, one shilling, and five pence, for “the payment of the Civil List.” Signed by Comptroller John Porter and Treasurer Andrew Kingsbury, and on the reverse by Huntington. In fine, clean condition, with a light intersecting fold through Huntington’s large and bold signature. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
