ALS signed “Geo. Clymer,” one page both sides, 5 x 8, March 29, 1792. Clymer writes to William Rawle. In part: “I furnished General Hand, Inspector for the third survey, with blank commissions for the collectors. I therefore cannot say on what day the first collector for the County of Cumberland, Joseph Rand[?], was appointed, nor do I know at what time he opened an office of inspection in the county—but General Hand wrote me on the 26 June 1791 that the appointment to that county was made….” A hint of mild toning and light show-through of ink (slightly visible behind signature), otherwise fine condition. LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
