Cartoonist (1885–1954) who created the durable daily comic strip Mutt and Jeff, which ran from 1908 to 1982 and which is generally regarded as the first of its kind. Original artwork for a Sunday Mutt and Jeff strip in which Jeff “cools” his milk by parking his cow in a stream, ink on artist’s cardstock, 24.5 x 17.25, October 31, 1948, signed in the last panel “Fisher.” In fine condition, with some mild scattered soiling and a few marginal glue remnants and editorial markings.
